Give the Gift of Time on Mother's Day

Cards, jewelry, and dinner are all thoughtful gifts for Mother’s Day, but Mom will appreciate it just as much if you spend time with her.  A good way to give Mom
your time is to watch the movie Love Never Was the Issue together.

Love Never Was the Issue is a love story about a divorced couple, Olivia and Sanders Wilson, who reunite after Olivia has a heart attack and Sanders becomes her caregiver.  The couple has to confront serious issues from the past in order to move forward in a new relationship that focuses on healing Olivia’s Physical Heart, her Emotional Heart, and her Spiritual Heart.

The movie was written and produced specifically to advocate for more awareness of the issue of women’s heart health.  According to The World Heart Federation, there is an urgent need for increased understanding of cardiovascular disease in women among both healthcare professionals and the general public. The more women know about heart disease, the better chance they have of beating it.

So, give Mom all the gifts she deserves, but share some time with Mom on Mother’s Day encouraging her to take care of her heart health so that you can spend a lot more time together in the years to come.

Love Never Was the Issue is streaming on Amazon Prime Video Direct.

Everyone Should Be An Advocate For Women's Heart Health

Here’s why:  Cardiovascular disease is responsible for 35% of deaths in women each year...more than all cancers combined.  It can affect women of any age, yet CVC in women continues to be seriously understudied, under-recognized, under-diagnosed, and under treated.  There is an urgent need for increased understanding of CVD in women among both healthcare professionals and the the general public.  The more women know about heart disease, the better chance they have of beating it.  (World Health Federation)

The Video Factory and SoulVisionTV continue to advocate for women's heart health with Love Never Was the Issue, a movie on a mission that was written and produced specifically to advocate for more awareness of the issue of women's heart health.

Tribute to Nikki Giovanni

A tribute to poet and activist, Nikki Giovanni, and her iconic poem, "A Certain Peace".

A Certain Peace
by Nikki Giovanni

it was very pleasant
not having you around
this afternoon
not that i don't love you
and want you and need you
and love loving and wanting and needing you

but there was a certain peace
when you walked out the door
and i knew you would do something
you wanted to do

and i could run
a tub full of water
and not worry about answering the phone
for your call
and soak in bubbles
and not worry whether you would want something

special for dinner
and rub lotion all over me
for as long as i wanted
and not worry if you had a good idea
or wanted to use the bathroom

and there was a certain excitement
when after midnight you came home
and we had coffee
and i had a day of mine
that made me as happy
as yours did you
